Having been mesmerism by both the patience and brilliance of Lee Hardcastle's, 'The Raid' in my previous blog I've been on a complete binge of anything stopmotion, which lead me to this beaut. A rusty old engine, 11 months, 3000 photos and a serious amount of work on Premiere Pro and this is what you get...

Apologies for not blogging for about 25 years but I just couldn't face not seeing my previous blog at the top of the pile anymore UNTIL, I was sent the following video by my main man Tarico, who currently reclines out on da'rock called Bermuda....jammy shit.

Anyway, this stonker of a video was created by the raw talent that is Lee Hardcastle. With over 25 million views on his youtube page that contains 'claymations that are not for children', this nasal Mancunian genius needs to be picked up by Pixar or one of Nick Park's cronies pronto!

I first heard this sumptious, plonky and thoughtful number from The Touch remixed by German whizz kid Marlon Hoffstadt on our main man Lee M Kelsall's yellowdog house mix he made for us at the start of the year. 

I've had it on repeat for about 5 months, so I think I'm ready to share it with you.....

TUNE OF THE DAY // BENJAMIN SCHOOS - JE NE VOIS QUE VOUS (featuring Laetitia Sadier)

I was lucky enough to hear this sumptuous summer time tune on the radio today and immediately stopped all the hard work I was doing to find out who Benjamin Schoos was. Belgium born Schoos has his hands in pretty much every musical and creative pie possible. Not only does he make swaying orchestrated pop music but he also writes for other artists, writes fanzines, hosts TV shows, runs his own label, Freaksville Records and even composed Belgium's 2009 Eurovision song contest entry, Copycat. For those of you that were wondering who provides the smooth Francophile vocals look no further than Stereolab's very own Laetitia Sadier.   

OK, now imagine that you've got your contrast pocket top on and your cycling a penny farthing around the streets of Paris with this on your ipod.....I am, and it's great!

Schoos' latest album 'China Man vs China Girl' is was released on the 9th April 2012 via Freaksville Records.
