“The idea for Team Tempest was born in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 2006. Soon after, Paul “Diddy” Darnell packed it, along with his bags, and went across country to the City of Angels.”
It was there that he met Rich “Dickie Boy” King and Vik “Showtime” Lopez. The three clicked better than Dorothy’s red shoes in the middle of a Kansas tornado. After all, Diddy needed teammates, and these two were a perfect fit. With the need for just one more handsome scutter, they found Gabe “JayWalker” Nunez to fill the spot. Tempest was finally born in May of 07’.
A four-man team dedicated to applying the power and force of a storm to their passion for freerunning. Tempest set off to pursue the dream of making a mark in the freerunning workd by adding style, creativity, and dedicated focus to the sport.
The team’s first gig together was performing at the Taurus World Stunt Awards. The show was great and so was finding out how well the newly formed group meshed. Since then, they have all been more than blessed on their freerunning journeys. Check out a video of their new academy which opened last Saturday....
