TUNE OF THE DAY // KASTLE - TECHNIQUE

The sun how now been beating down on us for over a week now, so the good tunes continue to roll out. What's better is that you can pick this one up for FREE! I'm pretty sure you don't need me to tell you what sample is used throughout this one, but a sublime way to turn a 2003 classic into what is current...and then some! Be sure to check out Kastles sounds over at his soundcloud. Roll on summer I say.

FRIEKE // SMOKING KIDS

Smoking is definitely becoming less acceptable around my leafy neighbourhood but it seems anywhere else in the world that I visit the addiction is still in full swing. Cameron and his over-zealous expenses claiming buddies are planning a new law that will see smoking areas banned in the near future so that social smokers aren't prompted to light up......errr what!

Anyway, if you're like Cameron and hate smoking then your likely to hate the following pictures. I for one think they're great and my favourites are below. For more information about this thought provoking series from Frieke Janssens check her website out and if you want to go straight to the series click here.

TUNE FOR THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER! // NEW NAVY - ZIMBABWE (FLUME REMIX)

I know its not technically summer yet. But with the heat oozing outside and this on full volume whilst I prepare to soak up some rays, munch on some steak and down as much cider as possible. In my eyes this is the definition of what is to come!

So grab yourselves a drink and show some support for New Navy and Flume.

DAILY NAIL // "I'm in love with a statue"

That's right people, this silly bitch is totally in love with 3 foot 'Hans'. Apparently being in a relationship for the past 6 months has changed everything for the ludicrously named, Reighner Deleighnie because she's able to imagine them walking hand in hand through meadows and the miniature Adonis is able to listen to her for hours blabbering on about her feelings.

Apparently this isn't the first time a total nutter has fallen in love with an object. Eva K from the Netherlands has managed to fall in love with a few phrases and words but if that wasn't absurd enough she's fallen head over heels for a hydraulic flood barrier and a floating crane. Interestingly the Daily Mail doesn't link to these stories anywhere and a Google search brings up nothing, I reckon the 'journalist' on this piece, Rachel Straus has been smoking crack in her loft again.

Please Daily Mail, keep this crap coming.

YELLOWDOG PRESENTS // SNOOP DOGG

This post should be aptly named as a culmination of all things dog related, and just for today we are now known as yellowdogg.

What you are about to listen to and read is about as random as this photo.

As much as I wish the title was true, sadly Snoop was far to busy to do a mix for us. But I am sure that he will not mind me posting this.

One could easily say this could be the aftermath of psychedelic, haze infused typical day for Snoop. However, you know this man means business when he opens a mix with my favourite band of all time Crazy P

Check out his other sounds over at his Soundcloud.

DAILY NAIL // KIM JONG-IL LOOK-A-LIKE STRUGGLES TO GET A DATE

Looking like Kim Jong-Il is definitely cool....if you live in North Korea. However, William (Jong Il) Cheong is from Acton, West London and understandably finds it pretty hard to get a date. The Daily Mail, getting us the stories that matter.

DAILY DOG // J-KAY HEADBUTT

This dog seems to hate getting papped just as much as J-Kay does. However, I very much doubt he received a ferocious glasgow kiss like our vertically challenged man J-Kay did after someone supposedly booted his motor!

Oh by the way, we've moved into a much larger space for printing and plenty of new designs will be flying out so keep tuned....

DAILY NAIL // "man kills wife by firing cannonball into her mobile home"

OK, we're trying out a new feature after quite a few requests about this....sort of. Anyway, we all know that people who say they don't read the Daily Mail, blatantly do read the Daily Mail, but for those of you that read it online or god forbid actually buy a copy at the newsagents then no need to bother anymore. We've taken it upon ourselves to read the whole thing for you, therefore removing the pain and mental numbingness associated with doing so and then spit out the best of the worst....if that makes sense.

Basically, we read the Daily Mail so you don't have to....

This week we've got, "man kills wife by firing cannonball into her mobile home"

p.s if anyone can think of a better name for this feature....answers on a postcard please.

DAILY DOG

I've got a pretty unusual daily dog for you guys today. This pretty amazing threaded animation of a dog running has been created by Atlanta based Aubrey Longley-Cook whos tag line is, "Give us this day our daily thread and lead us knot into temptation"....nice. Longley-Cook has actually managed to breath a bit of fresh air into, and I use the term loosely, the 'sewing scene'. If you were wondering what the front of this piece of work looks like it's here

Although he hasn't blogged consistently for awhile check through his back catalogue as he's got some very interesting work.

Shameless plug but we've got a load of lovely dog related products on our website. Plug over.

TUNE OF THE DAY // THE OTHER TRIBE - SKIRTS

Hello all!

My boys over at The Other Tribe have created another master piece of a record titled Skirts. This is a beauty of a track that gears everybody up for the warmer times ahead. This is forthcoming on the hotly anticipated Black Butter Records which I shall be showcasing a few other notable artists.

I look forward to seeing these guys play some up and coming festivals and gigs all across the UK.

DAILY DOG

A dog doing his best impression of a Gremlin.

I can't help thinking he may be the love child of these two.
